An independent label for slow, warm records you'll want to turn over by hand

Album sleeve with abstract black, vermilion and teal art, the record half out of it

Now-playing — track list

    Needle up33⅓ rpm

    Pressed slowly. Played loud.

Slow Burn is a small label for records that take their time: eight short pieces on Side A, cut warm, pressed in runs of five hundred. The deck above is real — press START/STOP and the platter spins up; press it again and the music winds down with it.

Hold the record to scratch; it runs backwards if your hand does. Lift the arm and drop it anywhere on the side, or pick a track and the arm finds the groove. The meters read the music as it plays; the fader bends the pitch ±8 %.

    01 The roster

    Four artists, one warm room.

Everyone on Side A, credited by name. Press play on any of their tracks and the deck above cues the needle to it.

      02 Releases

Three records, cut from one side.

Two EPs and a single. Put one on the deck: the arm goes home, the label changes, and the Now-playing list becomes its tracklist.

          04 About

A label that waits for the record.

Slow Burn started in a back room with one turntable, two friends and a rule: nothing goes out until it sounds right on a cheap speaker at two in the morning.

We press small runs on heavy vinyl and we cut them slowly. Every record is mastered for the groove, not for a playlist, so it sounds warm at a sensible volume and opens up when you turn it up.

Four artists, one side of music, three records so far. We answer every letter, and we still pack the orders ourselves.
